Bristol Ambassadors
The story of Stroke Odysseys in Bristol began, as is often the case, with a conversation between our team and interested people from the healthcare and research sectors in Bristol. Bristol University and consultant stroke neurologist at North Bristol NHS Trust worked with us to offer a presentation about Odysseys at the launch of the Stroke Health Integration Team (Stroke HIT) as part of the Bristol Health Partners structure and programme. Together with Bristol after Stroke, Bristol City Council Arts Team and Bristol Health partners we were able to launch the work.
The 12 weeks of workshops led to a performance – Zig Zags, performed to audiences and touring to the hospital wards. The Bristol performance company has continued to develop original work with us, moving online during lockdown and we continue to create together today.
