Stroke Ambassadors Training Programme

November 2016 – May 2017 A seven-month pilot, starting in Nov ‘16 at St Georges, Hospital St Thomas’s Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals. An opportunity for members of South London communities whose lives have been affected by a stroke and who have participated in the creation and design of  Stroke Odysseys to share that voice with other stroke survivors. We will explore the role of Stroke Ambassadors in hospital and in community settings as an innovation in helping develop a patient led voice and develop hope and optimism in neuro rehabilitation

Artists Training Programme

January – May 2017 Rosetta Life is offering 6 – 8 artists the opportunity to train with a group of professional artists working with Rosetta Life.  We have developed a new performance arts intervention for neuro – rehabilitation in clinical and community contexts.  We are replicating this 12 week intervention across London clinical and community contexts. Our own performance arts practices involve improvisation, somatic movement practices, devising theatre practices, musical and vocal improvisation and physical theatre.  We will be offering CPD training showing how these practices can be applied to neuro rehabilitation and wider clinical and community remits. We are offering free CPD training and an apprenticeship for artists from January until May 2017 followed by the opportunity to apply for paid work on a series of 12 week interventions running from June through to April 2018. For more information about how to apply please email Lucinda Jarrett email: lucinda.jarrett@rosettalife. org
